Katy Perry Responds To Viral Video From Coronation Of King Charles III – The Hollywood Reporter

Katy Perry took to social media to share her response after a video emerged of the music star seemingly having difficulty finding her seat among the viral moments from the coronation service for King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

During Saturday’s event at Westminster Abbey in London, Perry was among the notable attendees, along with Judi Dench, Emma Thompson, Maggie Smith, and Lionel Richie. Led shots of Perry apparently looking for her designated chair before the proceedings began American Idol Judge’s name for direction on Twitter.

Proving to be a good sport when it comes to attention, Berry chirp Later that day, “Don’t worry guys I found my seat.” She and Richie are scheduled to perform at Coronation on Sunday.

The star, who donned a lavender bodysuit and hat by Vivienne Westwood for the occasion, also took to Instagram to share her appreciation for being a part of the high-profile ceremony. In her post, which included photos and videos from that day, she explained that King Charles III had called her on behalf of the British Asian Trust Children’s Protection Fund, an organization Berry said she had supported for three years.

“It was an honor to be able to watch history being made today at the coronation of King Charles III!” Perry wrote in the caption. “Thank you @viviennewestwood for making me feel beautiful in lavender.”

Another notable guest was Charles’ son Prince Harry, with the couple having been the subject of reported tension over the years. The Duke of Sussex did not have an official role during the coronation service and was not seated with his family. Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, stayed home in Southern California with their children.
