Anita Joy She told TMZ she felt a mixture of joy and relief when she learned that three people had been arrested and booked for murder — but added that true justice would be in seeing these men get serious convictions.
Johnny’s friend says she’s optimistic that this will happen, because all the suspects are being held on high bail. She was initially concerned that the suspects would not be tried as adults — and based on what she saw the night of the murder, she thought they might have been minors.
However, all three defendants are 18 years old, so they will be tried as adults.

Anita feels the tragedy could have been avoided if Level 8 had provided safer parking for staff – something Anita says she and others have consistently pointed out as a problem, but she claims nothing was ever done about it.
She says she and Johnny’s family have not heard from the restaurant since the murder, noting that she has only received support from her co-workers.
Anita is also grateful that the progress in the case came before Johnny’s birthday on August 31, which she says comes as a relief to his family.
