Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth almost got himself hurt when he and wife Elsa Pataky shared their holiday tradition with a major risk factor in a hilarious video.

Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, posted a funny video Saturday about a holiday tradition with a high risk factor.

In the clip, the 39-year-old Thor star can be seen struggling to balance the Spanish wife, 46, on his broad shoulders as she tries to place star-shaped decorations on top of the giant Christmas tree.

Surrounded by children, the couple laughs when they realize that even with the Avengers star’s impressive 1.9m stature, he’s still too short to complete the task.

At one point, Chris suggests he jump in so Elsa can put the ornament on top of the tree.

As Elsa struggles to maintain balance, Chris stands on tiptoes, while the glamorous actress pulls the tree toward her so she can reach it.

Unfortunately for Chris, this tactic comes close to ruining the star’s good looks as tree branches crash into his head.

“Oh my face!” says Chris once, as Christmas tree needles stick pine nuts into his famous cheekbones.

In the end, Elsa manages to place the star on top of the tree, to the cheers of the family members.

“Oh, backbone,” Chris groans as he lets his wife slip off his shoulders.

It comes after the superhero star announced a break from acting to spend time with his family after discovering he was at risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
