Mercedes-Maybach updated Pullman limousine model

Many governments, heads of state and royal families around the world have for decades chosen Mercedes-Benz saloons with the designation “Pullman” to drive them with the stateliness and style befitting their status.

The German luxury car-maker has now revealed the 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Pullman.

The S650 Pullman is more than 21 feet long (6.50 meters), which is about four feet longer than the regular S-Class. The wheelbase is an impressive 4,418 millimeters.

The high-end luxury class from Mercedes-Benz is becoming even more exquisite. A new radiator grille and new exclusive color combinations in the interior make for a new appearance. The grille was inspired by a pinstriped suit and first appeared in the Mercedes-Maybach in 2016.

For the interior, Mercedes-Benz has introduced new exclusive colors magma grey, mahogany brown and silk beige/deep sea blue.

The new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is available with the 6.0-litre biturbo engine that produces 630 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque.  As a comparison, the old Mercedes-Maybach Pullman has the 6.0-litre biturbo petrol engine that develops 530 PS and 830 Nm of torque.
The 2019 S650 Pullman can do 0-100kmph in less than 7 seconds.

Sure, it’s not a mind-blowing characteristic, but let’s admit it, it’s big, heavy and not intended to be a speed machine.

Fuel consumption is not saving, but 14.6 liters per 100 kilometers (16 miles per gallon) on the combined cycle would hardly frustrate the target audience of the Pullman.

The majestic S-Class now rides on fresh 20-inch alloy wheels with the same 10-hole design familiar to fans of the old and new Maybach brand.

The S650 Pullman’s cabin looks absolutely incredible and boasts the largest legroom in the segment. The VIP occupants sit on two standard-specification executive seats facing the direction of travel. As is typical for a Pullman, the four passengers can sit facing each other in the compartment with an electrically operated partition.

For the executive seats, the maximum backrest angle is 43.5 degrees. The most upright backrest position of 19 degrees allows relaxed working in the rear.

Even business jets designer can find inspiration in this interior. The new Pullman can be rightly called a private jet for the road.

For a sense of privacy, there’s, of course, a partitioning glass between the front seats and the rear cabin, but now you can now monitor the traffic in front of the vehicle even when the partition screen is closed, thanks to a new front view camera. Now you can estimate how much extra time for the discussion of world domination you have in a traffic jam.

If the quality of the sound system is as important to you as the amount of horsepower, and you want to get a matchless listening pleasure and outstanding sound quality, you will not be disappointed. Moreover, you can choose between two innovative Burmester sound systems. And you are unlikely to make a mistake with the choice since the Berlin-based firm is one of the best audio specialists in the high-end segment.

Given that the Pullman is wildly popular among the men of consequence, there’s another important feature. The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach Pullman will be joined by an armored version in the following months.

You can already place orders for the 2019 Mercedes-Maybach Pullman if there’s money to burn on you bank account. A starting price is €500,000 (approximately $618,000 at the current exchange rates).
