Buffalo Bills 2024 53-Man Roster

With the 2024 NFL season just days away, teams across the league are now required to prepare their rosters for the regular season. 1:20 PM: The Bills have released Olympic gold medal-winning freestyle wrestler Gable Stevenson, According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network:He was always a long-shot option, having only laced up his boots for the first time in May; however, this was always a long-term signing, and the team will likely try to bring him back into the training squad.

1:20 PM: Tom Pelissero of NFL Network The Bills are reportedly set to release KJ Hamler, a draft pick who tried to get back into his career with Buffalo this summer. He was competing for the team’s starting job on special teams, but the role was usurped by rookie linebacker Daequan Hardy in the preseason. The release of Terrell Shavers was a sign that Hamler might have secured a spot on the receiving corps, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

12:12 PM: The Bills have released wide receiver Andy Isabella (According to Ryan Talbot of the New York Upstate) and safety Kendall Williamson (According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic,).

10:58 AMThe Bills are releasing defensive tackle Branson Dean, According to Ryan Talbot of the New York UpstateThe former Miami Hurricane player signed with the team after not being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

10:11 AM: The Bills are releasing undrafted offensive lineman Gunner Britton, According to ESPN’s Alina Getzenberg:The former Auburn Tigers quarterback played 66 offensive snaps throughout the preseason.

10:05 AM: WGR 550 Sal Capaccio The Bills are reportedly set to release defensive lineman Eli Ankou. The 30-year-old is a staple on Buffalo’s practice squad and has had three stints with the team since 2021; the team, according to Capaccio, is hoping to bring him back to the practice squad.

9:18 AMThe Bills are releasing wide receiver Justin Shorter, According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPNThe team selected him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and he spent his first season on the injured reserve list. He is likely to return to the practice squad if he is cleared for waivers.

9:07 AMBuffalo released undrafted wide receiver Zavier Johnson (According to Jay Skorski of the Buffalo News) and offensive lineman Mike Edwards (According to Jay Buscaglia of The Athletic,).

8:51 AM: The Bills have released veteran safety Kareem Jackson, According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPNBuffalo signed him midway through training camp amid a rash of injuries at the safety position.

8:32 AM: Ryan Talbot of New York Upstate Buffalo will reportedly release second-year receiver Tyrell Shavers after his breakout training camp. He saw consistent time with the first and second teams throughout camp, but that didn’t quite translate into preseason production. According to TalbotWe hope to see Schaefers return to the practice squad if he is granted waivers.

7:55 AM: The Bills have released quarterback Ben DiNucci, According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter,Buffalo signed the former Dallas Cowboys folk hero after the preseason opener, and allowed the playmaker to take snaps in the final two preseason games.

25/8: The Buffalo Bills released quarterback Anthony Brown, receiver Damiere Byrd, offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis, defensive back Rondell Boothroyd, linebacker Kyron Brown and linebackers Deion Jones and Shane Simon on Sunday afternoon, just one day after the preseason ended.

1:09 PM: ESPN’s Alina Getzenberg Sixth-round pick Tylan Grable has reportedly joined the team’s roster. The 24-year-old has impressed throughout the preseason, showing a range of attributes that the team believes he can develop.

12:09 PM: In what is not necessarily a shocking development, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic JaMarcus Ingram has reportedly joined Buffalo’s 53-man roster. The UB prospect spent the majority of his first two seasons on the team’s practice squad and has built a strong summer, showing notable improvement and showing some versatility playing both wide receiver and center during the preseason.

25/8: Buffalo placed defensive linemen Terrell Burgess and Dee Delaney on injured reserve as part of its series of releases Sunday. Both joined the Bills relatively late in the postseason and will now miss the entire 2024 campaign unless injury settlements are reached.
