Aviation behemoth, Qatar Airways has confirmed its investment into JetSuite, an airline that operates scheduled, public charter flights between private jet terminals. Previous investors into the US company include JetBlue Airways.

Operating 600 flights per month with a fleet of five Embraer 135 jets configured with 30 seats, as opposed to the 36 regional airlines opt to install. Amenities onboard include free WiFi, drinks, snacks, and most of all bypassing commercial terminals and their long security lines.

Mostly active on the West Coast, mainly in Las Vegas in California, this new, undisclosed investment will help the company add more destinations and routes. The company is set to take delivery of two additional Embraer 135s later this year.

JetSuite also operates a private jet program, selling jet cards from $50K to $400K giving various levels of access to a fleet of 22 Embraer jets it operates. New destinations for its shuttles should soon include Los Angeles and San Francisco.
