MEBAA Show 2018 - Middle East Business Aviation Exhibition
The 8th international exhibition MEBAA is the most important business aviation platform in the Middle East, gathering thousands of industry professionals. The event takes place every 2 years, alternately with the Dubai Airshow.
Business aviation in the Middle East continues to grow at a rate exceeding the growth rate of traditional markets. At the heart of this growth is Dubai, which is still an important hub for flights from east to west and north to south. With the opening of Al Maktoum Airport and the rapid expansion plans for aviation in Dubai, companies operating in the field of business aviation, as well as those close to it, explore and use the commercial opportunities offered by this region.
The new Gulfstream G500 and G600 will present their regional debut next week at the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation International Airport (MEBAA) at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport. They will complete the full line-up of the Gulfstream Aerospace production aircraft on a static display in the MEBAA 2018, which will also include the super-main G280, the large G550 saloon and the flagship G650ER.
“We proudly present our newest G500 and G600 aircraft along with a full set of Gulfstream fleet at MEBAA,” said Gulfstream President Mark Burns. "We have been supplying aircraft to this region since the 1960s, and appreciate the commitment of our customers and their recognition of the advantages offered by the developing Gulfstream product line.»
The G500, which entered service in September and collected about 30 record speeds around the city, can connect Dubai to Cape Town, South Africa, at 0.90 maha. Meanwhile, the G600, which is scheduled to be commissioned early next year, is able to fly from New York to Dubai at Mach 0.87, according to Gulfstream.
In addition to Gulfstream, the largest aircraft manufacturers of business aviation, such as Boeing Business Jets, Cessna, Bombardier, Dassault, Airbus, will take part in the MEBAA exhibition. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn the technique on a static parking lot, as well as to make familiarization flights.
