The Princess of Wales received a standing ovation on Centre Court as she watched the Wimbledon men’s singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic with her daughter Princess Charlotte.
This was Catherine’s second public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing abdominal surgery earlier this year, and she was given a standing ovation by the crowd.
As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Catherine presented the singles trophy to Alcaraz.
Sunday’s live match saw Alcaraz retain the title against seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic.

Before taking their seats, Catherine and Charlotte met some of the British tennis players, including Emma Raducanu.
Before the trophy was handed over on Centre Court, Catherine also spoke to some of the ball boys and girls.
The princess sympathized with runner-up Novak Djokovic and shook hands with him, before presenting the trophy to Alcaraz, who won 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
In June, the princess returned to public duties with an appearance at Trooping the Colour, where she waved and smiled from the balcony of Buckingham Palace with her children.
At the time, Catherine spoke about her cancer diagnosis in a statement saying that although she was making “good progress,” she was “not out of the woods yet.”
It was the most significant update on her health since revealing in March that she had cancer.
The princess said she had “good days and bad days” and that her treatment would continue for several more months.
While Catherine was watching the tennis final, the Prince of Wales was in Berlin, preparing to support England in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.
