Despite being the reigning Superbowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in their first game of the 2024 NFL preseason and will be hoping to make amends when they face the Detroit Lions on Saturday afternoon. The Lions also lost their season opener last Thursday to the New York Giants, 14-3. The Chiefs vs. Lions game kicks off Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on NFL Network. The 2024 NFL Preseason Tournament began on Thursday, August 8 and will run through Sunday, August 25.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Saturday, August 17, and the game will air live at 4 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
